English Grammar Practice Roadmap

Practise one grammar idea each day. Read the English example, explain the choice and write a fresh sentence of your own.

Articles

a blue notebook; an engineer; a university student

Choose by sound, not only by the first written letter.

Agreement

My brother plays. These books are useful.

Match the verb to the subject.

Tense

Yesterday we visited. I have finished already.

Identify whether a finished past time is specified.

Verb forms

She can swim. Did you receive it?

Use the base verb after a modal or did.

Prepositions

at 9 a.m.; on Monday; since 2022; for two hours

Distinguish a time point from a duration.

Quantifiers

many students; much milk; a few friends; a little water

Check whether the noun is countable.

A seven-day routine

On days one to six, practise one idea above, write two sentences and correct one mistake. On day seven, try the grammar assessment and review the explanations. Do not infer your whole language ability from one score.

A LITTLE MORE CLARITY

Questions, answered.

Useful details before your next step.

Can these resources be used at home?

Yes. Read the explanation, attempt independently, then check the answer. A parent or guardian should assist younger learners.

Does one score describe the learner’s whole ability?

No. A short practice check samples limited skills. Discuss the explanations and actual work when choosing the next learning step.
